CATC Prayagraj is a training institute of Airports Authority of India which imparts training to its employees responsible for provision of Air Navigation Services (ANS) and to those sponsored by other ANSPs (Air Navigation Service Provider) or CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) of the other country.
These courses are not available for general public.
The course is suitable for individuals working in the Aviation Industry who require an introduction to Safety Management Systems to fulfil their role in contributing to safety like Safety Managers, Quality Managers etc.
This course provides an introduction to SMS, based on ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, steps to establishing a SMS and Safety Case Assessment Reporting System (SCARS).
Concept level courses on VHF/ HF/ DVOR/ DME/ ILS/ Primary Radar/ Secondary Radar/ AIS/ Basic Electronics Course/ DSCN & VSAT/ Data Communication & Networking/AMSS-AFTN/ AIS can be customized and delivered based on the specific requirement of other ANSPs. The duration of each course will be 03-05 days per subject.
The course will benefit ATSEPs/ASOs performing duties in AMSS/AIS units at field stations. This course presents an overview of organization & function of the AIS, different elements of Integrated AIS products, Pre Flight and Post Flight Service with emphasis to understand and prepare the NOTAM messages and introduction of the Aeronautical Information Management (AIM).
The course will benefit ATSEPs working in Surveillance stream. The course is specifically designed and developed to provide the requisite knowledge on basic concepts of Primary radar including Introduction & classification of Radar, Principle of Primary Radar, Radar antenna system, Radar Transmitter, Receiver, Protector devices, Radar Processor, Different types of Primary Radar.
Equipment Specific Operation and Maintenance Courses on VHF (OTE/JOTRON), DATIS (TERMA/ACAMS), DVR (RICOCHET/VOXTRONICS), HF Rx (I-COM/Rohde and Schwarz), NDB (SAC), X-BIS (Smiths Detection), DVOR (THALES/MOPIENS), DME (MOPIENS), ILS NM7000B can be customized and delivered based on the specific requirement of other ANSPs. The duration of each course will be 03-05 days per equipment/facility.
The course will benefit ATSEPs working in NAV-AIDS stream. The course is specifically designed and developed to provide the requisite knowledge on the basic concepts of ILS in particular the principle of ILS, ILS signal format, phase errors in ILS, ICAO specifications, siting criteria and Air calibration.
(a) A foundation level course aimed at preparing the trainee to understand and demonstrate the basic knowledge, skill and attitude required to manage and supervise operational CNS facilities at stations.
(b)Initial training based on ICAO doc. 10057 CBT/A pattern, provides underpinning knowledge and skills and is delivered in two parts: Basic Training of 09-week duration followed by 02-week OJT applicable to all Manager (Electronics) trainees and Qualification Training of 13-week duration specific to Operation & Maintenance of CNS facilities at field stations.
