CATC Prayagraj is a training institute of Airports Authority of India which imparts training to its employees responsible for provision of Air Navigation Services (ANS) and to those sponsored by other ANSPs (Air Navigation Service Provider) or CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) of the other country.
These courses are not available for general public.
After completion of the course the participant will have better understanding of PBN designing.
Upon completing this course the ATM Officer will be able to:
1. Explain AIS and describe AIS functions.
2. Name and describe the main AIS publications, their significant parts and their ICAO regulatory framework.
3. Understand and apply principles and procedures related to Aeronautical Information Management (AIM).
4. Understand and apply the quality and safety norms of correct data storage and efficient AIS distribution in the AIM environment.
5. Apply the AIS principles and procedures while working in ATS Reporting Office.
On completion of this course the trainee will be able to
- Identify causes of unstable approach.
- Initiate action to prevent unstable approach.
On completion of this course the trainee will be able to:
- Interpret aeronautical meteorological information, reports, forecasts and warnings correctly and efficiently.
- Use aeronautical meteorological information, reports, forecasts and warnings correctly and efficiently, while exercising ATC duties.

c) Aerodrome Operations Manual
d) DGCA CAR on Establishment of a Safety Management System (SMS)
e) DGCA CAR on Aerodrome Design and Operations.
f) AIP India
g) AAI Manual on Aerodrome Licensing
h) BCAS Guidelines.
To enable participants to organize efficient SAR services and to coordinate the conduct of SAR operations within a search and rescue region.
The course is aimed at preparing the trainee to understand and demonstrate the basic knowledge, skill and attitude required to acquire Area Control Rating.
To train civil aviation personnel in Safety Management Services (SMS) as per guidelines and standards laid down in ICAO Annex-19 and DOC-9859.
The course is aimed at preparing the trainee to understand and demonstrate the basic knowledge, skill and attitude required to acquire Surveillance Approach Control Rating.
After completion of this course participants will be able to identify threats and possible errors in ATC and the means to manage them.
