Training System Infrastructure & Facilities for CNS

The CNS section at CATC is headed by General Manager (CNS). The department consists of six groups, viz. Communication Group, Navigation Group, Surveillance Group, Automation Group, Security Group & Course Administration Group.

Faculty of CNS has 6 classrooms duly equipped with modern training/ multimedia aids for theory classes. Practical classes are carried out in concerned labs & is organized in such a way that each individual trainee gets sufficient hands on experience

The following labs are functional in CNS faculty:

The Organization Chart of the Department of ATM Training

Training Infrastructure for ATM

The Head of the Department (Head of Training of ATSTO and AELTO/TSP) is of the rank of General Manager (ATM). Altogether the department consists of ten sections viz ATM office, ADC section, APP section, ACC section, SCC section, Specialized course section, Documentation section, SATCOL section, Exam cell and AELP section.

All the sections of ATSTO except exam cell come under Jt. GM (ATM) &CI (Chief Instructor). Main section known as ATM office performs all the managerial and administrator responsibilities.

Total no of class rooms allocated to ATM section are as below:-

  1. Class rooms
    1. Eight ATSTO class rooms equipped with modern training aids having capacity of 24 trainees each. Two AELTO class rooms equipped with modern training aids having capacity of 12 trainees each.
  2. Laboratories
    1. Twelve Procedural Labs (PAAS) having capacity of at least 12 trainees each.
    2. One surveillance Lab having capacity of maximum 32 trainees.
    3. One Aerodrome Visual Simulator Lab having capacity of (12+12) trainees.
    4. One Search & Rescue Lab having capacity of 12 trainees.
    5. 5 cubicles in aviation section at library for trainees and instructors.
    6. Two Language labs for AELP assessment.
    7. 16 cubicles in AELP self-learning section at library.
